Meet Our Leaders
Scott Williams, Chief Executive Officer
With the majority of his career having been spent in hospital leadership, Scott brings more than 30 years of experience to Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio.
Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. He currently is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Scott extends his passion from his work to the community through his involvement in numerous community organizations, including serving on the board for Member Family Services of Northwest Ohio. He also has served in volunteer leadership positions for East Toledo Family Center, Housing East, YMCA of Northwest Ohio, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
Julie Hauk, Chief Financial Officer
Julie’s business philosophy is to provide exceptional patient care while being fiduciary responsible in all areas of operation. Julie possesses many years of experience in financial management as well as in the clinical arena.
After earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baker College in Owosso, Mich. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in administration with a leadership concentration from Central Michigan University.
Julie is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She enjoys her many responsibilities, which include supervision and maintenance of the general ledger and reporting of the financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, patient accounts billing, payroll, central supply, food services and medical records.
Dr. Tallat Rizk, Medical Director
Dr. Rizk is passionate about patients and providing them with the highest quality of care available. Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Rizk has special interests in fibromyalgia, back pain, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine and his medical degree from Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.
Dr. Rizk serves an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Toledo, and is the physical medicine and rehabilitation director at Elmwood Long Term Acute Care Hospital. He is a member of the American Medical Association, America Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Spinal Cord Injury Association.
Ashley Sheehan, Director of Marketing and Business Development
Ashley enjoys sharing information and educating the community about the services offered at Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio. In her role as director of marketing and business development, Ashley leads the hospital’s marketing and public relations efforts to do this.
Ashley brings more than 8 years of experience in health care marketing and business development to the hospital. She earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She is a member of the Toledo Chamber of Commerce and is a certified dementia practitioner.
When not working, Ashley can be found volunteering in the community through the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association and Sylvania Northview Soccer.
Andrea Sheehy, Director of Therapy
Andrea brings more than 16 years of experience to her role in the development, implementation, operational and clinical leadership of the hospital’s operations. Her background includes acute rehabilitation, long-term acute care, and outpatient services.
Andrea is certified to conduct fiber optic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing in patients, and she is VitalStim therapy certified. She earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in communication disorders from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Andrea is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She serves as an adjunct instructor for the graduate program in communication disorders at Bowling Green State University. She also participates in clinical research in collaboration with the graduate program staff at the university.
Amanda Wenzinger, Director of Human Resources
Amanda provides direction and leadership in the employee hiring and relations for the hospital. She maintains and ensures Joint Commission standards are met, federal and state laws are followed, and hospital and Ernest Health policies are practiced.
Amanda brings more than 18 years of human resource management experience to the hospital, with emphasis on labor relations. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
William Cote, Director of Plant Operations
William brings more than 20 years of experience in facilities operations to the hospital and leads our efforts in maintaining the environment and safety of our hospital campus. He ensures the physical components of the hospital are well maintained and operating effectively, along with housekeeping and safety.
William is a member of the National Fire Protection Association and serves on the Hospital Council of North West Ohio.
Amy Barailloux, Director of Quality Assurance
Amy helps assure our patients receive the very best of care through her oversight of quality and regulatory compliance at the hospital.
Amy brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her role, having worked for 15 years in intensive care and five in hospice care. She also has previous quality assurance and clinical management experience.
She is a member of the Ohio Nurses Association.
Connie Schlagheck, Director of Case Management/PAI Coordinator
Connie provides ongoing support and leadership for case managers during a patients’ stays as they plan toward discharge.
Connie brings more than 13 years of experience to her role, having served in various capacities including staff nurse, clinical assessment coordinator and coordinator for prospective payment system in an inpatient rehabilitation facility.
Connie earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mercy College in Toledo, Ohio, and is certified in rehabilitation nursing.
Christina Bell, Director of Pharmacy
Christina oversees the hospital’s pharmacy operations, ensuring quality and accuracy of medication delivery, medication information, monitoring medication regimens and regulatory compliance. She possesses more than 20 years of hospital experience, most recently as director of pharmacy at a long-term acute care hospital pharmacy.
Christina earned her doctor of pharmacy at the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American Pharmacists Association. She also serves on the advisory board for the University of Findlay College of Pharmacy.
When not working, Christina enjoys volunteering in the community for the March of Dimes.
