Meet Our Leaders

Scott Williams, Chief Executive Officer

With the majority of his career having been spent in hospital leadership, Scott brings more than 30 years of experience to Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. He earned a master’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. He currently is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Scott extends his passion from his work to the community through his involvement in numerous community organizations, including serving on the board for Member Family Services of Northwest Ohio. He also has served in volunteer leadership positions for East Toledo Family Center, Housing East, YMCA of Northwest Ohio, and the Alzheimer’s Association.

Andrew Paulson, MSN, BS, RN, Director of Nursing

Andrew earned his associate’s degree in nursing from Owens Community College, bachelor’s degree in science at Eastern Michigan University, and master of science in nursing at Lourdes University. He joined the team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio in 2018 as nurse manager.

Andrew enjoys working in the inpatient rehabilitation setting, as it gives a unique insight as to how different teams work together to achieve a common goal of assisting our patients to return home with the highest possible quality of life after a health-related life-changing event.

Dr. Steven Farrell, Medical Director

Dr. Farrell has been serving the residents of northwest Ohio and southeastern Michigan for over two decades. He is dedicated to providing the best outcomes for those with functional disabilities to include neurologic and musculoskeletal injuries. He is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Farrell earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from The University of Toledo and completed residency training at the Medical College of Ohio (now University of Toledo Medical Center) in Toledo, Ohio. Fellowship training was obtained at Buffalo Spine and Sports Medicine in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Farrell has been on the faculty of The University of Toledo College of Medicine for over 25 years. He is a professor and Division Chief of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Other roles held include residency program director and clerkship director. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Academic Association of Physiatry, and the Ohio Society of PM&R, where he holds the role of treasurer.

Angela Ebert, RN Director of Marketing and Business Development

Angie enjoys educating the community about the services offered at Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio. In her role as director of marketing and business development, Angie leads the hospital’s marketing and public relations efforts.

Angie brings 18 years of experience in the health care field as a RN. She has worked in the Marketing field for 3 years at RHNO. She earned her Diploma in Nursing from Providence School of Nursing in Sandusky, Ohio.

Andrea Sheehy, Director of Therapy

Andrea brings more than 16 years of experience to her role in the development, implementation, operational and clinical leadership of the hospital’s operations. Her background includes acute rehabilitation, long-term acute care, and outpatient services.

Andrea is certified to conduct fiber optic endoscopic evaluations of swallowing in patients, and she is VitalStim therapy certified. She earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in communication disorders from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Andrea is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She serves as an adjunct instructor for the graduate program in communication disorders at Bowling Green State University. She also participates in clinical research in collaboration with the graduate program staff at the university.

Amanda Wenzinger, Director of Human Resources

Amanda provides direction and leadership in the employee hiring and relations for the hospital. She maintains and ensures Joint Commission standards are met, federal and state laws are followed, and hospital and Ernest Health policies are practiced.

Amanda brings more than 18 years of human resource management experience to the hospital, with emphasis on labor relations. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Greg Hurst, Director of Plant Operations

Greg brings more than 20 years of experience in facilities operations to the hospital and leads our efforts in maintaining the environment and safety of our hospital campus. He ensures the physical components of the hospital are well maintained and operating effectively, along with housekeeping and safety.

Connie Schlagheck, Director of Case Management/PAI Coordinator

Connie provides ongoing support and leadership for case managers during a patients’ stays as they plan toward discharge.

Connie brings more than 13 years of experience to her role, having served in various capacities including staff nurse, clinical assessment coordinator and coordinator for prospective payment system in an inpatient rehabilitation facility. 

Connie earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mercy College in Toledo, Ohio, and is certified in rehabilitation nursing.

Ross Kwiatkowski Pharm D, Director of Pharmacy

Ross oversees the hospital’s pharmacy operations, ensuring quality and accuracy of medication delivery, medication information, monitoring medication regimens and regulatory compliance. Ross feels it is important to develop a strong working relationship with other disciplines in the hospital to ensure exceptional patient care.

Ross earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toledo. He actively precepts University of Toledo IPPE/APPE students. He worked 16 years in retail pharmacy before joining RHNO.

Lesley Wood, RN Director of Compliance

Lesley works with the RHNO team to assure our patients receive the very best of care through her oversight of quality and regulatory compliance at the hospital.

Lesley brings more than 30 years of nursing experience to her role, having worked in both acute hospital care and ambulatory care. She has 20 years of patient safety, infection prevention, quality and regulatory experience. Lesley received her nursing degree from Monroe County Community College.
